Shiny People in a Crowd of Serial Killers, Mass Murderers and Spree Killers

This is a variant on the Shiny People in a Crowd theme. The entire painting is made out of grey, grey and more grey… except for the shiny people. While the greyness literally weeps from the walls, the Shiny People bring color to the painting. The Shiny People are icons for the Übermensch. They glare in the mass. This time the shiny people don’t appear in a coïncidal grey crowd. Here, they are surrounded by the greatest murderers of all times.

Shiny People In A Crowd

shiny people in a crowd 2013 Acrylic on hardboard 80x80cm
Shiny People in a Crowd The shiny people are the good guys, the talented, the intellectuals, the brave ones, the Übermenschen. They glare in the grey crowd. In shiny people in the crowd, they are litteraly placed in the middle of a crowd of grey anonymous silhouttes. The simplification of the figures into line figures reduces the difference between the shiny people and the crowd onto it’s essence. How the shiny people or the grey people look like is not important. The difference is incapsulated in their shining.
